AJ Lam has signed with French Top 14 club ASM Clermont Auvergne and will depart the Blues after the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.

He signed a three year contract with the French club.

Lam will remain fully committed to the Blues for entirety of the season, where he is expected to continue playing a key role on both and off the field.

Since making his Super Rugby debut for the Blues in 2021, Lam has established himself as one of the club’s most dynamic and reliable backs.

He has racked up 58 caps and was a key contributor to the team’s 2024 Super Rugby title win.

The 27-year-old says the Blues have been his home and he is proud of what they have achieved and he is grateful for the support from the coaches, staff, teammates and fans.

The Blues will open their 2026 Super Rugby Pacific campaign against the Chiefs on the 14th of February at 6.05pm.
