We want to compete against Fiji, it's our last chance.

Portugal skipper Tomas Appleton highlighted this during their post match press conference after their 34-14 loss to Australia when asked about them pushing Wales, drawing with Georgia and if they can they also push Fiji.

Appleton says of course they are playing just for them, for the team.

He says at the beginning of the World Cup they said that they want to compete against all sides.

On insisting he is not that surprised that Portugal have competed so well at this World Cup.

The Flying Fijians play Portugal at 7am next Monday.

For Fiji to make it to the quarter-finals they only need 1 point which means either a win or a draw.

Looking at other results this morning, Scotland thrashed Romania 84-0, Australia beat Portugal 34-14, and South Africa thumped Tonga 49-18.

In games coming up this week, New Zealand play Uruguay at 7am Friday while France face Italy at 7am Saturday.
