QVS is the new Eastern Zone U18 champion after they defeated Lelean 11-6 in the Vodafone Eastern Zone Deans U18 final at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Ponipate Vasu of QVS scored the only try for Vulinitu while Ratu Seru Cakobau converted 2 penalties for Lelean.

The two top teams, QVS and Lelean, third placed RKS have qualified for the National Deans quarter finals.

In other final results today, RKS defeated Lelean 15-12 in the U14 final, the RKS U15 also beat QVS 15-12, QVS was defeated by RKS 13-12 in the U16 final, RKS defeated QVS 13-11 in the U17 final and RKS defeated Lelean 22-15 in the U19 final.

ACS beat Lelean 12-10 in the Raluve U16 final while the U18 for ACS defeated Dawasamu 12-10 in the Raluve U18 final.

Looking at the U14 play-off results, Tailevu North and QVS were locked 12 all during the final siren, but Tailevu North was awarded with the win after scoring the first points.

Lelean was awarded a win after scoring the first points when their game ended in a 15-15 draw.

Lelean thrashed Dawasamu 19-0 in the U16 playoff, Lelean defeated St Vincent 21-5 in the U17 elimination and QVS thrashed Wainibuka Secondary 13-11.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Southern Zone Secondary School Rugby finals will be held today at the HFC Bank Stadium, while the Western Zone finals will be held at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
