Trina Davis returns for Fiji Kulas ahead of OFC Women’s Nations Cup 2025

Overseas-based player Trina Davis is making her return to the Fiji Kulas side for the upcoming OFC Women’s Nations Cup 2025, that will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva next month.

Davis was included in the final 23-member squad that was named by Head Coach Angeline Chua today.

Chua says they have had an intensive preparation phase, and she is proud of how far the players have come.

She says the team has a good mix of young and experienced players with five overseas-based players added to strengthen the team.

Former Fiji Kulas U20 rep and US-based Preeya Singh has also been named in the squad.

Chua has named three new players who will be aiming to make their in the likes of goalkeeper Ka’iulani, Anisha Dwarka and Akanisi Sorovakarua.

The Fiji Kulas side include Mereoni Tinaimakubuna, Emily Esposito, Ka’iulani Scott, Filomena Racea, Naomi Waqanidrola, Maria Veronika, Pijila Kilaiwaca, Mereoni Tora, Caroline Qalivere, Ema Mereia, Sereana Naweni, Akanisi Sorovakarua, Adi Litia Bakaniceva, Cema Nasau, Jotivini Tabua, Preeya Singh, Elesi Tabunase, Anisha Dwarka, Koleta Likuculacula, Trina Davis, Adi Reva, Leba Narieta, and Kasanita Taufa Tabua.

The OFC Women’s Nations Cup is the top women’s football tournament in the Pacific and an important step toward qualifying for the FIFA World Cup.

Fiji is in Group B and will play the Solomon Islands in their first match on July 5th at 7pm, then face Tonga on July 8th at 7pm, and finish the group stage against Vanuatu on July 11th at 7pm.
