The Fiji National Rugby League confirms that the brawl last Saturday between Topline Warriors and Nabua Broncos breached the rules of the tournament and the teams will face penalties and disciplinary actions.

While speaking at a press conference today, FNRL Chairman Akuila Masi says this includes potential match point deductions, suspension of players, ban of spectators who were involved in the brawl, and warnings to both clubs.

Masi says they will conduct a mandatory code of conduct workshop for both teams across the field to ensure everyone is well-versed with the laws.

He says they are taking immediate action to strengthen the match day safety and accountability.

The Chairman says this week they will beef up security and ensure players and public safety are taken into consideration.
