Cristiano Ronaldo may have struggled for first-team football at Manchester United this season but he has been named in the Portugal's 26 men’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The 37 year old has played 16 times, including 10 starts, for United this season and scored three goals.

He is the all-time leading scorer in men's internationals with 117 goals.

Ronaldo's club team mates Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot, Manchester City's Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva, Fulham's Joao Palhinha and Wolves trio Jose Sa, Ruben Neves and Matheus Nunes are named.

However, Wolves midfielder Joao Moutinho and club team-mate Goncalo Guedes, with Paris St Germain midfielder Renato Sanches have missed out.
