Pacific Games: Fiji Men's and Women's 7s sides secure comfortable wins in their respective pool matches

The Fiji Men's and Women's 7s teams kick-started their 2023 Pacific Games 7s campaign on a high note as they secured comfortable wins over their opponents in their opening pool matches last night.

The Fiji Men's 7s side thrashed American Samoa 53-0 while the Fiji Women's 7s side walloped Wallis and Futuna 29-0.

The Fiji Men's side scored a total of 8 tries with 5 conversions for the win.

The Women's side scored a total of 5 tries with 2 conversions.

The Fiji Women’s 7s team will play the Solomon Islands at 1.30pm today before taking on the Cook Islands at 6.12 this evening in their final pool match.

The Women’s Championship semi finals will begin at 12pm tomorrow and the final will be at 8.12pm tomorrow.

The Fiji Men’s 7s side will take on Kiribati at 3.12pm today in their final pool match.

The Men’s Championship quarter finals will kick off at 7.24 tonight and the Championship semi finals will start at 2.24pm tomorrow.

The gold medal final will be at 9pm tomorrow.
