Western Division champions Natabua will look to defend their home turf at Churchill Park this afternoon when they play Marist Brothers High School.
Marist Old Boys President and retired Lieutenant Colonel Neumi Vakadewabuka shared this with fijivillage Sports ahead of the highly anticipated clash.
Vakadewabuka says that the Marist family will also be celebrating a special milestone — the 91st birthday of Brother Fergus Garrett, a Marist Brother who has dedicated 61 years of his life to teaching and shaping young minds at Marist in Fiji.
He also acknowledged the recent loss of three teachers this academic year, saying their memory will be honoured by the players during the match.
MOB President says the teams will be playing in memory of them and upholding Brother Fergus’s values of service and discipline.
The MOB President noted that the level of competition in secondary school rugby has become increasingly intense, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting weekend of rugby.
He encouraged families and fans to come out in numbers to enjoy what he called the one thing that unites Fiji — rugby.
