Man in Samabula temple sacrilege case fit to stand trial

Samuela Tawase, the man who was involved in the alleged sacrilege case at the Shiv Temple in Samabula has been deemed fit to stand trial by doctors.

Tawase appeared before Magistrate Yogesh Prasad this morning and the court was told that after his review, he is able to understand and follow court proceedings.

Tawase is charged with one count of sacrilege and one count of throwing object, while the charges remain the same, the particulars have changed.

His case has been adjourned to 23rd October.
