LMS rugby teams give back to community before quarterfinals this weekend

The Under 14 and Under 16 of Lelean Memorial School today took some time from their training schedule to hold a cleanup at Dilkusha Home and seek blessing from their sister school as they look forward to their quarter-final match against Marist Brothers High School and Ratu Navula this weekend.

Speaking on behalf of the two teams, Assistant Principal Ulaiasi Vakatawakoula says this has been part of their program after facing financial challenges in doing their gym sessions and he hope by doing these activities will help their players gain more strength to reach the final.

Vakatawakoula is thankful for the unwavering support from the parents, guidance and former students of the school who have encourage the players from the two teams to step-up their game.

U16 Head Coach Meli Serukalou Kurusasa also expressed gratitude and acknowledged the unwavering support from parents, guidance, and former students, who have encouraged the players to elevate their performance.

Serukalou calls on the families and former students for their support in this week's quarterfinal match.

The Lelean U14 will face Ratu Navula College at Burkhurst Ground 2 at 8.20am, while the U16 team will meet Marist at Burkhurst Ground 1 at 11am.

The Vodafone Super Deans quarter finals will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium this Saturday.
