Ikanivere, Tavatavanawai and Naholo make Super Rugby Pacific Team of the Year

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua skipper and hooker Tevita Ikanivere, Highlanders captain Timoci Tavatavanawai and Highlanders wing Kini Naholo have made the first-ever Super Rugby Pacific Team of the Year.

The team is formed from the top-ranked players in each respective position based on Player of the Year votes from across the season.

The front row is made up of Brumbies prop Alan Alaalatoa, Ikanivere, and Waratahs prop Angus Bell.

Jeremy Williams from the Force and Blues veteran Patrick Tuipulotu make up the second row.

The back row is made up Player of The Year and Moana Pasifika skipper Ardie Savea, Brumbies’ Tom Hooper, Carlo Tizzano from the Force as well as Reds’ Fraser McReight.

Hurricanes Cam Roigard pairs up with Damian McKenzie of the Chiefs in the halves.

Tavatavanawai and AJ Lam from the Blues are at centres wile the outside three is made up of Naholo, Harry Potter from Force and Waratahs’ Joseph Sualii.

Super Rugby Pacific CEO Jack Mesley says the naming of a Super Rugby Pacific Team of the Year is another opportunity to recognise the most outstanding performers in the competition.

Mesley says importantly it ensures that as a competition they celebrate players across every position on the field.

He adds selection in this team is a reflection of the respect and admiration these players have earned from their opponents, week in and week out, throughout the 2025 season.
