Wales are coming into their Autumn test opener against the Fiji Water Flying Fijians with an aim of nothing but a win, even if it is an ugly one.

Wales assistant coach Jonathan Humphreys says if they get the processes and everything about what they try and do on a day-to-day basis right, then they have got more chance of getting over the line and getting that win.

Humphreys says the thing that they can’t do is just focus on an outcome.

He says this game is about minute by minute, second by second, and if they end up with a great process and get an ugly win, they will take that.

He adds they have had some really good experiences back, which has helped the group in terms of taking ownership of what happens on and off the field.

Wales will take on the Flying Fijians for the first time since an epic 2023 Rugby World Cup pool match in Bordeaux that Wales luckily won 32-26 after Fiji’s star centre Semi Radradra dropped the ball close to the line at the stroke of fulltime that could have stolen the game for the Flying Fijians.

Humphreys has also spoken highly of their counterpart saying Fiji is incredibly dangerous, and once they get behind you it is so difficult to stop.

Wales currently sits at 11th place in the latest World Rugby rankings while Fiji sits at 10th place.

Wales will host the Flying Fijians at 1.40am Monday at the Millennium Stadium.
