As the Digicel Fiji U16 team returns from Tahiti tomorrow after qualifying for the FIFA U17 World Cup during the OFC U16 Championship, the Fiji Football Association says planning for their preparation for the World Cup is now underway.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Fiji FA CEO Mohammed Yusuf says the coaches are now working on their plan where they will be going to Europe for exposure three weeks before the tournament begins in Qatar.

When questioned if a celebration or an incentive is being organized after qualifying for the World Cup, Yusuf says the Fiji FA Board will make a decision on that but adds they are stretched out as they are preparing for several regional and local competitions including FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup at the end of this month and the U17 Fustal tournament.

The Baby Bula Boys qualified for the World Cup after reaching the final of the OFC U16 Championship in Tahiti.

The FIFA U17 World Cup will be hosted by Qatar in March next year.
