Emotional mum proud of her daughter’s gold medal wins in Lautoka Zone

Natabua currently leads boys’ and girls’ Lautoka Zone medal tallies

It is a proud and emotional moment as well for Julia Ledua as she watched her daughter Tarusila Naiyala win gold in the junior girls’ 100 metres and 200 metres events for Jasper Williams High School during the Coca Cola Lautoka Zone currently underway at Churchill Park.

Ledua says she cannot describe how happy she is seeing the achievements of her daughter.

She says seeing her daughter win gold is a proud moment for her as a mother, knowing the sacrifices her daughter has made during training.

While speaking to fijivillage Sports, Naiyala thanked God for her achievement and dedicated her win to her parents and her coaches as well as all the Jasperians around Fiji and the world.

Meanwhile, Natabua High School currently leads the fijivillage medal tally in the boys’ and girls’ divisions.

In the boys’ division, Natabua leads with 22 gold, 11 silver and 6 bronze, followed by Central College Lautoka with 6 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze, while Saint Thomas High School is third with 6 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze.

In the girls’ division, Natabua has 16 gold, 10 silver and 5 bronze, Jasper Williams is second with 12 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze, while Yasawa High School is third with 5 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze.
