UFC legend, Conor McGregor has vowed to beat undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather after former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson called him the most marketable star to cross over from UFC to boxing.

McGregor lost his ring debut in ten rounds three years ago, as Mayweather retired with a perfect 50-0 record.

Tyson stated that McGregor had never had a boxing match before in his life and he went 10 rounds with the greatest fighter.

Having reunited with his first ever boxing coaches at the Crumlin amateur club, McGregor insisted he will become the first man to ever beat Mayweather if he gets a second crack.

He tweeted: "Thank you Mike, and just know that for the inevitable rematch, with the knowledge he has of Floyd’s style, plus under the tutorship of his old school boxing coach, he will crack the puzzle, and will beat Floyd.”

Meanwhile, Tyson may not be interested in fighting Sonny Bill Williams but the American boxing legend has hinted at a return to the sport.

Tyson first sparked chatter about a potential comeback after wowing fans in a ferocious sparring session in a video that went viral.

He hasn't entered the ring as a professional in 15 years, and has posted another impressive sparring video on social media before saying "I'm back".

Tyson has been all over the media recently with reports he could step back into the ring and plenty of speculation around fights with Evander Holyfield and even footy stars, although he lashed the latter as an "insult".
