Argentina has made history by winning the 2023-2024 HSBC SVNS World Series Men’s category for the first time after securing a 5th place finish at the HSBC Singapore 7s beating South Africa 12-10 tonight.

With only one more leg to go in the Series which will be the Madrid 7s that will be held next month, the Argentinians have a comfortable lead at the top of the table.

Argentina needed at least a 5th place finish coming into this tournament to secure the series and they got it.

Argentina currently leads the standings with 94 points, followed by Ireland with 86 points while the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side is in 3rd place with 76 points.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s will play France in the Women’s 3rd place playoff at 8.38pm tonight.

In the Women’s Cup final, New Zealand will play Australia at 9.241pm and Ireland will take on New Zealand in the Men’s final at 10.21pm tonight.
