Anchor has teamed up with Fijian Drua for an exclusive two-year partnership.

The Drua confirms that Anchor will be fuelling the women’s and men’s Drua rugby teams and supporting the wider Fijian community, with the goodness of dairy nutrition.

Lynne Mason, Director of Export, Fonterra Brands New Zealand says to help support the next generation and continue to inspire and keep youth interested in sport, Anchor and Drua will be hosting an “Anchor Breakfast Club” at 14 schools across Fiji.

This initiative aims to educate children on the importance of nutrition, leadership and the hard work and focus required to become a professional athlete.

Mason says Fijian Drua players will be present and will have active discussions with students about rugby, while enjoying a nutritious breakfast including Anchor milk.

She says seeing the Drua players first hand will certainly increase children’s motivation to be active and participate in sport as well as grow their understanding on why it is important to have a nutritious diet.

Mason says they think this is an incredible partnership and they are looking forward to cheering on the spectacular Drua team and seeing the Fijian community getting behind their rugby team.

She says they want to see as many Drua fans as possible at the games so head to your local supermarket stores for a chance to win match day tickets or to the Anchor Facebook page for the chance to win Drua merchandise (limited time only).

Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans says they are delighted to welcome such a renowned global brand in Anchor into their vuvale) of sponsors.

Evans says nutrition plays a vital role in the life of professional athletes and the Drua players are no different.

He says our Women’s and Men’s teams will benefit directly from the wonderful dairy range of Anchor for their nutrition requirements as they take on the best rugby players and teams in the world.

Evans says what’s exciting about the partnership is the Anchor Breakfast Club, which will allow the Drua to engage directly with Fiji students to increase their knowledge about good nutrition, diet and what professional sport is all about.
