35-member Fijiana XVs extended squad selected to prepare for Wallaroos

The Fiji Rugby Football Union today announced a 35-member extended Vodafone Fijiana XVs squad to take on the Wallaroos next month in Suva with 31 Fijian Drua Women’s players making up the core of the team.

The squad selected for the upcoming high-performance camp is also part of preparations for the Women’s Rugby World Cup in England later this year.

Coach Ioan Cunningham says this camp is a critical first step in building the roadmap for their campaign and they are excited by the potential, the athleticism, and the skill level in this group.

Cunningham says however, they are also very aware of the work ahead if they are to compete with the top nations in the world as this is just the beginning.

The selected squad features 31 Drua players, 2 Drua development players, 1 Chiefs player and 1 Marist Whanganui NZ player.

The Fijiana XVs squad include Salanieta Nabuli, Anasimeci Korovata, Lavenia Nauga Grey, Isabella Koi, Tiana Robanakadavu, Vika Matarugu, Asinate Serevi, Bitila Tawake, Merevesi Ofakimalino, Mereoni Nakesa, Alfreda Fisher, Jade Coates, Nunia Daunimoala, Carletta Yee, Sulita Waisega, Ema Adivitaloga, Salaseini Railumu, Rusila Nagasau, Karalaini Naisewa, Kolora Lomani, Repeka Mata, Setaita Railumu, Evivi Senikarivi, Salanieta Kinita, Merewalesi Rokouono, Merewai Cumu, Vani Arei, Josivini Naihamu, Alowesi Nakoci, Marewairita Naivoha, Ateleite Buna, Adi Repeka Tove, Louisa Tisolo, Timaima Ravisa, and Litiana Vueti.

The Fijiana XVs will take on the Wallaroos at 5pm next Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
