Tier 2 Rugby Unions will be having a meeting with World Rugby to discuss the format of test matches with Tier 1 nations.

Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee says this will enable Tier 1 nations to tour the Pacific Islands teams such as Fiji, Samoa and Tonga.

Despite their early exit from the 2015 Rugby World Cup, Fiji showed that they have the potential to push over big teams as they impressed many when they played England, Australia and Wales within 13 days.

McKee says their main proposal to World Rugby is to have more test matches against Tier 1 nations.

Italy was the last Tier 1 team that played in Fiji and they lost to the Flying Fijians 14-25.

McKee says that they are looking forward to a good result from the meeting.

World Rugby will be meeting with Tier 2 Nations at the end of next month.
