Josivini Naihamu and Repeka Tove scored doubles as the McDonald's Fiji Drua Women secured their second win of the Super Rugby Women's competition, defeating the Brumbies 42-25 at Churchill Park in Lautoka this afternoon.

The Drua Women got off to a flying start, with Tove crossing over in just the second minute to give the hosts a 5-0 lead.

However, the Brumbies responded strongly and were rewarded with a try to Ashlea Bishop, who levelled the scores at 5-all.

The Drua hit back three minutes later through Naihamu to regain the lead before Sulita Waisega crossed in the 16th minute to extend the advantage to 15-5.

Bishop grabbed her second try in the 20th minute to reduce the deficit to 15-10, but the Drua continued their attacking momentum, with Merewairita Neivosa getting on the scoreboard to stretch the lead to 20-10.

With four minutes remaining in the first half, the Brumbies scored two quick tries through Bishop and Bonnie Brewer to level the scores at 20-all heading into the break.

The Drua Women regained control in the second half, running in four more tries through Naihamu, Salaseini Railumu, Karalaini Naisewa and Tove.

The Brumbies managed just one second-half try, scored by Tania Naden.

The Drua Women will now turn their attention to their clash against the Reds next Saturday.
