The Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast Sevens has been rescheduled to January next year due to the renovations at Lawaqa Park.

Fiji’s premier rugby sevens tournament was to have taken place in October this year.

However, it will instead be played from the 14th to the 16th of January next year.

Founding Chairman Jay Whyte said the renovations will bring a number of benefits to the tournament.

Whyte said this upgrade will work well for them in attracting the highest caliber of teams to Fiji.

The renovation of Lawaqa Park will include a new roof over the grandstand while the playing surface is being replaced to international standard.

The work is expected to start this week and finish later this year.
