Botia, Yato and Radradra selected because they meet the criteria and still play top-level rugby - Seruvakula
There were a few eyebrows raised on the inclusion of Levani Botia, Peceli Yato and Semi Radradra being selected into the FIJI Water Flying Fijians squad to which Acting Head Coach Senirusi Seruvakula says yes, they are veteran players.

While addressing the media at Rugby House, Seruvakula says the reason they are selected is because they meet the criteria and still play top level rugby.

He says these players are still clocking big minutes in games.

Also making a return to the team since the 2023 Rugby World Cup is Racing 92 winger, now centre Vinaya Habosi.

Seruvakula also stressed that there will be no camp in Fiji, with the team all meeting up in Wales at the end of this month.

When asked if that is enough time to prepare the team, Seruvakula says he believes so, because a lot of these players are are based in Europe and they are still playing every week.

Fiji will begin its inaugural Nations Championship campaign against Wales on 5th July at 1.10am, before taking on England on 12th July at 1.10am and Scotland on 19th July also at 1.10am during the Southern Hemisphere series.
