Tuwai out of Dubai and George legs

Seasoned 7s player Pio Tuwai will not travel with the Digicel Fiji 7s team in their opening IRB 7s series in Dubai and South Africa in December.

Coach Iliesa Tanivula has named the 24 member squad to prepare for Dubai today with Tuwai missing out because of injury.

Tanivula has named the likes of Jerry Burotu, Watisoni Votu, Emosi Vucago, Nasoni Roko, Ilai Tinai and Joeli Lutumailagi as the old hands in the squad.

Also making their presence felt are members of the champion Nadroga team with the likes of Nemani Nagusa, Semesa Gonevou, Miti Nacagilevu and Joeli Lotawa been named in the team.

Players who have missed out with Tuwai included Randell Kamea, Nikola Matawalu, James Brown and Kelemedi Bola.

The final 12 players to be named for the Dubai 7s is likely to be announced on the second week of next month.

The Dubai 7s will start on the 4th of December.
