Tabakaucoro disqualified from 200m semifinals after false start

Fiji’s sprinter Banuve Tabakaucoro was disqualified in the 200m semifinals of the Commonwealth Games after a false start.

Tabakaucoro had qualified for the semis after clocking a time of 21.04 seconds in his heat where he finished second.

Meanwhile, Leslie Copeland will take part in the Men’s Javelin event while Eugene Vollmer will compete in the Men’s Triple Jump tonight.

Looking at the medal tally, England is leading with 44 gold, 40 silver and 39 bronze, Australia is second with 36 gold, 36 silver and 41 bronze.

Canada is placed third with 27 gold, 13 silver and 25 bronze.

Fiji is ranked 31st with one bronze.
