Pacific Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro believes he still needs to improve his speed on the rugby pitch to be able to match the speed of world-class players such as Perry Baker or Dan Norton.

After making some blistering runs and individual tries at the Oktoberfest 7s, Tabakaucoro says he was not satisfied with his performance and needed more work on his speed and defence.

Meanwhile Yasawa 7s playmaker Nacanieli Batina has joined the Fiji Airways 7s squad.

Coach Gareth Baber says Batina brings in a lot of competition within the playmaking role in the team.

The national 7s squad are preparing to send a team to the Central Coast 7s and Silicon Valley 7s at the end of this month and next month.

The opening leg of the 2017/2018 World Sevens Series will be held in Dubai on December 2nd to 4th and the South Africa 7s on the week after.
