Silver Ferns coach to offer expertise to local Fijian coaches

The Silver Ferns match with the Fiji Pearls will not only develop the sport of netball in the country but this will also be a chance for local netball coaches to learn from one of the top coaches in the world.

Silver Ferns coach Waimarama Taumaunu has confirmed that the New Zealand netball team will arrive in the country next Friday and while in Fiji she will also offer her expertise to local Fijian coaches.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Pearls have named a strong side with two players to make their debut at the upcoming Oceania Netball Tri Series.

New Zealand based shooter Kelera Nawai and Episaki Kahatoka have been named in the final Fiji Pearls 12-member team to face the Silver Ferns and Samoa.

Former national captain Mere Rabuka Neiliko was named to lead the side and will be assisted by Maria Lutua.

Other players in the side include sharpshooter Taraima Rara-Mitchell, Nina Cirikisuva, Unaisi Rauluni, Matila Waqanidrola, Teimumu Vukinavanua and Vaiti Waqatabu

The series starts on January 19th where Fiji will face the Ferns in their first game.
