Epeli Saukuru and Iosefo Verevou

The Rewa soccer team is on the verge of losing brothers, Epeli Saukuru and Iosefo Verevou in the player transfer window which opened yesterday.

Fijivillage has been reliably informed that Saukuru is moving to Lautoka while Verevou will join Suva.

Both players are expected to apply for their release soon.

Saukuru and Verevou are best remembered for scoring a goal each for Rewa in the 2-0 win over Ba in the 2015 BOG final in Nausori.

We have asked Rewa Soccer President Nazil Buksh on the impacts of losing these two highly capable players as it’s just the start of the soccer season.

The Delta Tigers have already lost top striker Savenaca Nakalevu to Ba.

Buksh says they cannot do much and are now talking to few players from Lautoka and Ba who may join Rewa.

It has also been confirmed that Manasa Nawakula of Ba is moving to Labasa.

Meanwhile, Labasa will face Suva at 7.30pm this Friday at Ratu Cakobau Park in the Vodafone Premier League and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
