Patel confident to be re-elected

Current President of the Fiji Football Association, Rajesh Patel is confident that he will be elected for another term tomorrow in the Fiji FA annual congress.

Patel who registered a landslide victory four years ago said he is getting overwhelming support from district associations from Vanua Levu and Viti Levu.

Former Lautoka Soccer President, Shalendra Prasad who will contest the President’s position says he will make a number of changes in the Fiji FA constitution if he wins.

Prasad said he will open the eligibility criteria which will allow even a referee or a coach to become the President of the Fiji FA.

Prasad has not revealed how much support he has from district associations but confirms that businessman, Babu Ratan Deo is backing him.

Meanwhile, the second round of Courts IDC will resume on Wednesday at Govind Park with Nadi playing Dreketi at 1pm.

Rewa will face Nadroga at 3pm, Lautoka will play Suva at 5.30pm and Ba will take on Labasa at 7.30pm.
