Ma'a Nonu might not be speaking to the media, but he's certainly letting his actions on the park do the talking for him, as he strengthens his case for a stunning All Blacks comeback.
Aside from one pre‑season press conference in February, Nonu has had no interest in speaking about what is becoming an increasingly stunning return to Super Rugby with the Blues, and the possibility of wearing the black jersey at a fourth World Cup.
If Nonu makes a fourth World Cup appearance for the All Blacks, the 103‑test midfielder turning 37 before this year's tournament in Japan, could become the second‑oldest All Black ever.
His standout performance against the Waratahs at Eden Park, the prospect was certainly more entertained, before now becoming even closer to reality after Nonu backed up in fine style against the Chiefs in Hamilton last Saturday.
Meanwhile this week the Blues take on the Highlanders at 7.35pm Saturday.
On Friday, the Chiefs meet the Lions at 7.35pm and the Sunwolves take on the Hurricanes at 10pm.
On Saturday, the Sharks take on the Reds at 1.05am, the Waratahs take on the Rebels at 9.45pm while the Stormers play the Brumbies at 1.05am Sunday.
