No ring card girls for Clash on the Dunes

Boxing’s long-standing tradition of ring card girls will be missing when Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr contest the biggest fight of 2019 this Sunday.

When the heavyweight rematch takes place in Saudi Arabia this Sunday there will not be any scantily clad women insight.

The Daily Mail reported that ring card girls will not be used for the much-anticipated rematch following a decision from the sport's officials to respect the culture of Saudi Arabia, which has strict laws governing what women can wear in public.

Ruiz Jr stunned the boxing world in June when he caused the biggest heavyweight upset since Hasim Rahman knocking out Lennox Lewis in 2001, by stopping Joshua in the seventh round at New York's Madison Square Garden.

The boxing program for the second WBA, IBF and WBO title showdown in Saudi Arabia between current world champion Andy Ruiz Jr and former champion Anthony Joshua will start at 6am this Sunday.
