The Crusaders are suffering a major injury setback in the wake of their scratchy Super Rugby victory over the Brumbies, with Richie Mo'unga ruled out for six to eight weeks with a broken hand.
The first five‑eighth had surgery for a fractured bone in his left hand.
Crusaders team management says Mo’unga is recovering well and is expected to require approximately six to eight weeks before returning to play.
Meanwhile Marty McKenzie will likely take over from Mo'unga against the Highlanders.
The Crusaders face the Highlanders at 6.55pm this Saturday.
Looking at the results of the Super Rugby matches over the weekend, the Hurricanes beat the Sunwolves 83-17, Crusaders beat the Brumbies 17-13, Waratahs defeated Western Force 19-13, Lions beat the Cheetahs 28-25, Jaguares beat the Kings 39-26 and the Stormers defeated the Bulls 37-24.
