Starting Richie McCaw at blind side flanker may be the only Crusaders team change for their Super Rugby semifinal with the Sharks this Saturday.
Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder is hoping the All Blacks captain will be declared fit to play before the semifinal.
McCaw, who has not played since suffering the injury during last month’s test series against England, has often proved he has a high pain threshold but that did not give him license to participate fully in the Crusaders practices last week.
The Sharks will travel to Christchurch to face the Crusaders at 7.35pm in the first semifinal this Saturday, while the Waratahs will host to the Brumbies at 9.40pm.
The final of the Super Rugby is on the 2nd of next month.
