With days remaining for the fight of the century between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, here are some interesting facts about Pacquiao.

Pac Man is currently a Lt Colonel in the reserve force of the Philippine Army.

Pacquiao, who joined the reserves as sergeant on April 27th, 2006 was promoted several times over the next three years until he became Senor Master Sergeant, the highest rank for enlisted personnel, on May 4th, 2009.

Following his victory over Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez in the third of their four fights, Pacquiao was appointed a lieutenant colonel in November 2011.

More facts about Manny Pacquiao - he averages over 2,500 sit‑ups daily during training camp, eats five meals and consumes 8,000 calories daily to keep his weight and energy up and starts every morning with a Bible reading.

Perhaps the most shocking Pacquiao story comes from his childhood: he ran away from home as a boy because his father ate his dog.

Pacquiao stowed away on a boat to Santos City.

He bought boxes of doughnuts and sold them individually to make a small profit and slept in cardboard boxes until joining a junior boxing program which provided accommodation.

Pacquiao will fight Floyd Mayweather at about 3pm Sunday, and you can watch it live on Sky Pacific’s Pay Per View channel for $40 for residential customers and $300 for commercial customers.
