Spanish club Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte is set to travel to England to complete his club record move to Manchester City.
Laporte's 57 million pounds release clause has been paid, ending his contract with the Spanish club allowing him to have his medical and complete his transfer.
Manchester City’s current transfer record is the 55 million pounds paid for midfielder Kevin de Bruyne in 2015.
City will play West Brom at 8am Thursday in the English Premier League.
