The Labasa soccer team was crowned 2007 National Soccer League champions today.
The Babasiga Lions ended Ba's winning record from 2001 after thrashing Navua 5-0 in their final league match of the season.
They have also created history by claiming the title after lapse of 16 years when Pita Bolatoga scored brace of goals while other goals came from Roy Krishna and Henry Dyer.
Labasa will now get $15,000 as first prize money while Ba and Lautoka will fight for the second and third place.
Their game will be played after next week's Courts Homecentres IDC.
