Uruguay is the latest team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup elimination round.

This is after their 1 nil win over four time champions Italy. Diego Godin scored the winner for Uruguay.

Uruguay’s Luis Suarez was involved in another World Cup controversy after he appeared to bite Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini.

Suarez pushed his head towards Chiellini in the penalty area just before Diego Godin’s goal.

Chiellini then pulled his shirt down to show the referee an apparent mark on his shoulder made from the clash.

Meanwhile, in another match England who are already out drew nil all with Costa Rica. This means that Uruguay and Costa Rica will go through to the knockout stages from Pool D.

Japan plays Colombia while Ivory Coast takes on Greece this hour.

Ivory Coast need a win or draw to join Colombia from this pool while Japan will go through if they win by two clear goals and hope Ivory Coast loses or draws with Greece.

Greece also has a chance if they win today and hope Japan will lose or draw the match with Colombia.
