Charles Piutau is reportedly the highest paid rugby player in world, earning NZ$1.8 million a year.

The former All Black revealed he will be doing his best to perform for his new team the Bristol Bears and not let the expectations get to him.

Piutau scored on his debut today for the Bears in the English Premiership, with his team going down 31‑29 to Exeter.

The 27‑year‑old star told the BBC before his match with Exeter that his sole focus is to play the best rugby he can and to put the salary matter to the side.

Piutau played 17 Tests for the All Blacks from 2013‑2015 and scored four tries.

The All Blacks will now face Italy at 3am this Sunday.
