Flying Fijians team to take on Tonga named

An experienced team has been named by Fiji Airways Flying Fijians Coach John McKee to take on Tonga in their final build match at Eden Park before the Rugby World Cup next month.

In‑form Hooker Sam Matavesi joins experienced Props Campese Ma’afu and Kalivati Tawake in the front‑row while Tevita Cavubati and Leone Nakarawa are the locks.

Captain Dominiko Waqaniburotu and Semi Kunatani are the flankers and Peceli Yato starts for the first time at number eight this season.

Frank Lomani is at halfback while Ben Volavola starts at flyhalf.

McKee has named the powerful centre combination of Levani Botia and Semi Radradra at number 12 and 13.

Vereniki Goneva and Josua Tuisova are on the wings while Alivereti Veitokani is at full‑back.

The Flying Fijians take on Tonga at 4.30pm tomorrow at Eden Park.
