Fiji bowls to compete in championships

A 10 member Fiji mens and womens bowling team left our shores yesterday to compete in the World Bowls championship in New Zealand.

Ratish Lal will captain the men's team while Litia Tikoisuva leads the women in the singles, pairs, triples and fours events against the best bowling team's from around the world.

Fiji bowling team has never won the world bowls championship title in any of the four events but according to men's captain Ratish Lal their chances this year look bright as they have prepared well.

The championship will start this Saturday.
