No overseas based players will be part of the Fiji Bati team to the Pacific Games.

Coach, Maika Vunivere has confirmed to Fijivillage that all players part of the Fiji Bati team to the pacific games are based locally.

He says these players have been chosen from the local Nines competitions.

The Rugby League competition at the Pacific Games will be played in the Nines format.

He says an 18 member training squad will be joining camp tomorrow  and they will use this to gauge the players level of performance.

Vunivere says some main players in the squad are Etika Rokobuli from the Makoi Bulldogs, Jone Sariri from the Sabeto Roosters, Esira Dokoni from the Saru Dragons and Nemani Raiwalui from Nadroga.

The Pacific Games will be held from the 4th to the 18th of next month in Papua New Guinea.
