Davu Still Interested in Coach’s Job

Former Silver Ferns star Vilimaina Davu still wants to coach the Fiji netball team.

Davu was sacked from her post by the Netball Fiji Council after Fiji's poor performance at the World Netball Championships where they finished 9th in the rankings despite winning the gold medal at the Pacific Games in Samoa.

Netball Fiji Secretary Patricia Rokoua said Davu has left for New Zealand on a work permit but said she is still interested in taking up the coaching post again.

Rokoua said they could not say much at this stage, as the coaches post will be discussed in the Netball Fiji AGM next week.
