Chiefs coach, Warren Gatland says the team is eager to deliver a much-improved performance for their fans at home when they take on an in-form Blues team tonight in Super Rugby Aotearoa.

Gatland says last week against the Highlanders they were not clinical enough and they capitalised on those opportunities they gave them and tonight they will be sharper and deliver a more dominant performance.

He adds the Blues have some great playmakers and will be a dangerous team and they will be hoping to back it up again tonight.

He says the players are excited to run out to the field in front of what is expected to be a near full capacity crowd and it will be up to them to deliver for their fans and supporters.

Gatland has named a determined 23 member team, that includes the likes of former All Black Aaron Cruden, Brad Weber, Anton Lienert-Brown, Damian McKenzie and Pita Gus Sowakula.

The Blues will have the services of Beauden Barrett, Otere Black, Rieko Ioane, Caleb Clarke, Patrick Tuipulotu and Hoskins Sotutu.

The Chiefs will face the Blues at 7.05 tonight while the Crusaders will take on the Hurricanes at 3.35pm tomorrow.
