Brazilian Superstar Neymar delivered on his promise as he scored the winning penalty kick against Germany as Brazil men’s soccer team finally won their first ever Olympic Gold medal.
Brazil beat Germany 5-4 on penalties.
After their humiliating loss to Germany in the 2014 FIFA World Cup semi-final, Neymar had said that he wants to help Brazil win its first ever Olympic gold medal in soccer.
The game was locked at one-all after regulation and extra time.
Neymar had earlier scored a wonderful free kick in the first half but Germany equalised in the second half.
Nigeria settled for the bronze medal after beating Honduras 3-2.
