Arsenal rejects 50 million pound Man City bid for Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal has rejected a 50 million pound bid from English Premier League rivals Manchester City for forward Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal has rebuffed all approaches for Sanchez, and would like City's Raheem Sterling as part of any deal before Friday’s transfer deadline.

Sanchez scored 24 English Premier League goals for Arsenal last season but is out of contract next summer and is yet to agree to a new contract.

The club had earlier said that Sanchez would honour his contract and stay at the club.
