Army crowned new Sukuna Bowl champions
The Army rugby team has been announced as the new champions of the Sukuna Bowl after they defeated the champion, Police team by 14-nil at the TFL stadium this afternoon.

Army’s tries came from Nikola Matawalu and Epeli Ruivadra.

It was evident that the Police side committed a lot of mistakes during the match as they never scored any try during the 80-minute match.

The win this afternoon has enabled Army to end their 5-year losing streak to Police in the last 5 years and a first for Army captain, Dale Tonawai.

Our rugby commentators, Malakai Veisamasama and Alipate Naitini reiterated that the mentoring of Reverend Joji Rinakama steered the Delainabua boys to victory.

Meanwhile, the Police soccer team beat Army 3-1 this morning to win the soccer competition.

Police goals came from Neel Chand, Peni Tirikula and Rewa team goalkeeper, Simione Tamanisau.
