Auckland FC beat South Melbourne 2-1 to claim inaugural OFC Pro League title

Auckland FC created history after defeating South Melbourne FC 2-1 in the OFC Pro League final to become the first-ever champions of the competition.

Auckland FC delivered a composed and dominant performance in the final, with Daniel Normann opening the scoring before Matt Ellis sealed the victory with another goal.

Yuki Uchida scored for South Melbourne, but it was too late.

South Melbourne tried to fight back and created several attacking opportunities, but Auckland’s defence remained solid throughout the match and denied the Australian side any chance of a comeback.

Players and supporters celebrated after the final whistle.
