The 52nd Super Bowl is set to take place today in Minneapolis, Minnesota and it is set to be watched by over 100 million people across the world.

This year’s event will see the Philadelphia Eagles take on the New England Patriots in a rematch of the 2004 Super Bowl.

One of the big appeals outside of the football is the half time performance and half time commercials that happen every year.

Justin Timberlake will be the main act in the half time show, whilst there are set to be ads from companies such as Amazon, Stella Artois, M&Ms and Doritos.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has become the oldest winner of the National Football League’s Player of the Year award, winning the honour for the third time on the eve of his eighth Super Bowl appearance.

Brady threw for 4,577 yards this season for 32 touchdowns and only eight interceptions.

Brady could become the oldest quarterback in history to win the Super Bowl if he is able to steer the Patriots past the Eagles today.

Patriots will play the Eagles at 11.30am today.
