30 students from Thurstable School in Tiptree, England have vowed to support the Flying Fijians

30 students from Thurstable School in Tiptree, England have vowed to support the Flying Fijians ahead of their home nation in the opening match of the Rugby World Cup this Saturday.

These 30 choir singers are part of only 20 groups in England chosen to perform at the official welcome ceremony this Saturday.

They had also greeted the Vodafone Flying Fijians with the World in Union song when they were officially welcomed last week.

Head of Music at the school Sally Thomson says after welcoming the Flying Fijians last week the students felt that they needed to show their support for Fiji which was widely isolated from their regular supporters.

The choir which performs in a lively up‑beat gospel style will be singing the official Rugby World Cup anthem, World in Union in the opening ceremony this Saturday.

The opening ceremony will start at 6am Saturday.
