2 suspended for crucial encounter

Two Rewa soccer players have been suspended and will miss the last and crucial match against Lautoka in the Pillay’s Garments Champions league this Friday.

Striker, Ratu Veresa Toma was shown a red card in the 2-0 win over Ba yesterday and has been charged with violent conduct.

Toma will have to miss two matches.

Yesterday’s hero for Rewa, Archie Watkins who scored the opening goal for the Delta Tigers will also have to miss a match after coping two yellow cards in the competition.

Meanwhile, in yesterday’s match at the TFL stadium, Rewa proved too strong for the Ba outfit as Archie Watkins and Kelepi Qaqa scored to give Rewa a 2-0 win.

Rewa now leads the point’s table with eight points with better goal difference.

Ba also has eight points but sit in second spot.

Navua is third with six points and Lautoka is bottom placed with two points.

At 5pm this Wednesday, Navua will play Lautoka at the TFL stadium and you can hear extensive reports of the match on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
