US Embassy Public Affairs Officer Strader Payton says the free family event at Fiji Museum will feature American music, food, sports, games and a range of other activities.
Payton says the event is part of celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, and will also celebrate the relationship between Fiji and the US.
He says while the two countries may appear far apart, they are connected by the Pacific Ocean and share values such as freedom and democracy.
Payton says whether people enjoy rock and roll, R&B, country music, sports or simply spending time with family, there will be something for everyone.
The American Showcase will be held at the Fiji Museum Grounds and Thurston Gardens from 10am to 5pm this Saturday.
Entry is free.
